Form 735-6890, Notice of Sale or Transfer of a Vehicle is a related document that the seller of the vehicle uses to inform the DOT that the vehicle was sold. Once signed, this document must be sent to the Oregon Driver and Motor Vehicles Division (DMV) within ten days.
If you have purchased a vehicle and it does not have a title, you are able to get a replacement title and transfer it into your name simultaneously. You must provide the completed Form 735-226 (Application for Title and Registration), Form 735-515 (Application for Replacement Title) signed by the buyer and seller, the Bill of Sale, a lien release, and the appropriate title fee.
