Body Measurement Tracking Chart: What Is It?

A Body Measurement Tracking Chart is a detailed list of body dimensions created to document potential changes in the shape of the person. Whether you are monitoring your fitness progress and your body composition fluctuates daily or weekly, dealing with health issues that affect the way you look, or regularly sewing or custom ordering garments tailored to your body, there are several basic measurements you should know - circumference of the chest, waist, and hips can be tracked whenever you need.

It is advised to draw a table whether you want to measure your figure every day or discover any changes once a week after following a strict diet or gaining muscle in the gym. List the areas of your body you are monitoring on the left, and the columns will indicate the days or weeks. Make sure you use the tape measure correctly - do not wear any clothing, record the details at the same time of the day (for instance, in the morning before you have breakfast), and do not dig the tape measure in your skin - you know you found the accurate reading when you can put a single finger behind the tape.

You may add your weight to the chart as well if you are using the scale as well; however, in many cases, the weight stays the same despite the weight loss and muscle mass gain which is why relying on body measurements is preferable. It is also a good idea to include a summary of the diet and exercise you have been sticking to during the control period to know what has led to any alterations in your readings.
