A Nevada Postnuptial Agreement is an agreement formed between two people that are married. It is only signed by those that are in a legal marriage and does not concern those individuals that are not legally married.
The purpose of forming this agreement lies with the fact that if there is an unforeseen change in the financial situation of a spouse, any properties that were acquired during the marriage should be shared as agreed in the document. It gives a spouse a level of certainness if some unpleasant circumstances occur such as one of the spouses passing away or initiating divorce proceedings.
