Coming home from school can be exhausting and there is an immediate temptation to jump on the couch and maybe even have a nap. This may even be a possibility if you use an After School Checklist to organize your day and tasks once you return home. This is a great tool, particularly if you are worried about forgetting something important which can easily happen when you have a packed timetable with various tasks for each lesson.
To further complicate things, students may also be part of some additional classes or sports clubs that each require other additional things to keep in mind. Additional books, a change of clothes, even getting to a place by a certain time - all of these things may be difficult to keep in your head.
By using an After School Checklist, you eliminate the worries that you may face about keeping all of this information in your head. You can use the checklist daily to clearly set out tasks that you need to complete on a daily basis. It is a great tool for parents to use too, to teach their children about the importance of routine, punctuality, and tidiness. You may want your child to get home and immediately put away their school things, take out their homework, and proceed to wash their hands. If the plan is there, they are less likely to forget.
