What Is a Student Self Evaluation Form?

A Student Self Evaluation Form can be given to any student, providing them with an opportunity to look back on and reflect upon a particular assessment, task, or experience that they have had. A Student Self Evaluation aims to allow students to think about their knowledge, skills, and abilities during the learning process. They are a great way for students to take a look at and be honest with themselves about the level that they are currently at. If students are not happy with their current level, they can set future goals for themselves and think about how they can achieve them.

This form can also provide teachers with valuable information about each student. Teachers will have a rough understanding of how well the student is coping, the areas in which they feel confident in and the areas that they are struggling in. This will allow teachers to provide support to those students that need it and work with them to improve their level and confidence. There may also be cases when students underestimate themselves and panic, when in reality the teacher knows that the student has had very good results in a particular field.

Carefully consider the questions you want to ask your students. You will need to give this some considerable thought and the questions you ask will depend on the information that you want to collect.
