How to Make a Halloween Lantern?
Making a Halloween Lantern is very simple particularly if you use a Halloween Paper Lantern template. All you need is:
- A device to print the template;
- Paper - either colored paper or if you want to color in the lantern yourself, plain paper. If you opt to use colored paper, we would suggest using Halloween colors such as black, orange, green and red;
- Some sharp (but safe) scissors;
- Glue;
- Coloring pencils or markers;
- Additionally, if you want to hang up your lantern or create a chain you may require some string.
Once you have all of your materials ready and you have found the template that you want to use, follow the steps below to make sure you create the perfect lantern to mark Halloween:
- Start by printing your selected template;
- If your template is black and white you should color it in using pencils or markers. If you have opted to print on colored paper, you can skip this step;
- On the template it will be clear which lines need to be folded. Follow the instructions carefully and make sure that you neatly fold the appropriate lines in a straight line;
- There will also be lines on the template which will need to be cut - these lines are usually dotted. Cut the appropriate lines and be careful not to rip the paper;
- Get your glue and glue the pieces that need to be glued together according to the template;
- Usually, the handle to the lantern will be printed as a separate piece to the lantern itself. You will need to glue the lantern at the top to create the handle;
- If you have decided to create several of these lanterns with the intention of forming a chain you will need to attach them all onto a piece of string of the appropriate size and stick them on using tape.
