A Pennsylvania Prenuptial Agreement is an agreement formed between an unmarried pair that clearly lays out how personal possessions would be split in the event of a divorce. The monetary entitlements of every partner, the distribution of properties, alimony for partners, and child support duties post-divorce are the main focus of such documents.

However, certain agreements, such as those governing internal matters (that concern freedom of expression such as religion) and custody of children as well as their maintenance are often not binding clauses in the agreement. The contract will go into action once the pair is married and will be binding in the case of a divorce or a partner's passing.
In agreement with the local state legislation, the contract must be signed by both partners. Although it is strongly advised, no other witnesses or notary signatures are necessary by law in Pennsylvania. But this does not mean that this step can be overlooked - it is incredibly important to do this in order to prove the authenticity of the document if required.
