A Michigan Medical Power of Attorney Form is a document that legally allows a person to select and use an agent relating to medical decisions. These medical decisions often concern the treatment of the principal and can only be exerted if the principal is deemed medically unfit by a doctor or any other licensed health-care professional. The principal must be confident in their agent and their ability to carry things out just as the principal had wished for. This can only happen when a licensed medical professional confirms that the principal is not in an appropriate state to make such decisions for their wellbeing. After this, the agent will be contacted and they will be able to use their powers.
A Michigan Medical Power of Attorney is covered by local state legislation. This legislation also concerns the signing requirements which in Michigan state that two witnesses must witness the parties signing the documents after which they would also sign.
