A Florida Non-Compete Agreement ensures that any business registered in the state of Florida can draft up this agreement as a form of protection, protecting any company secrets or other relevant information that could damage a business if this information is leaked. The agreement is signed between an employer and an employee (sometimes even potential employees) and/or individual contractors - anyone that could require access to sensitive information. In order to ensure that these individuals do not pass this information to anyone else later down the line, after their employment or project comes to an end - this document is signed.
If the terms of the agreement are violated, then the company is within right to take the case to court where the employee could be required to pay out financial compensation to the company. To ensure this protection, we would suggest filling in a Florida Non-Compete Agreement Template which should then be signed by and designated to both parties.
