Real Estate Power of Attorney Template - New Jersey

A New Jersey Real Estate Power of Attorney Form is a legally binding instrument prepared by a person who lives far away from a property they own or is forced to deal with urgent matters that do not allow them to participate in any affairs related to real estate to give another individual or entity the authority to act on their behalf.

Use this document to appoint an agent who will handle communication with the current or potential tenant and sign a lease agreement, transfer residential or commercial property to or from another party, or file an application to refinance the existing mortgage - their duties must be listed in writing to avoid future disputes.

The state regulations demand the principal to bring the authorization to the local notary public and sign the papers in the latter's presence - if you fail to do so, the power of attorney will be considered invalid, and all the contracts and arrangements created with it will be contested.
