What Is a Snow Removal Contract?

A Snow Removal Contract is an agreement formed between a client and a snow contractor. The contractor promises to carry out snow and ice removal services. In return, the snow contractor receives a payment.

When forming such agreements it is important to take several things into consideration:

1. The type of agreement. Is this contract intended for commercial or residential use?
2. Frequency of snow removal. Straight away after there has been heavy snowfall or only when contacted by the client? This is known as a "snow event." The amount of snow that must fall that is deemed as acceptable for the snow contractor to begin their work. Most of the time, snow contractors are paid for every call out and the price isn't indicative of the amount of snowfall.
3. A description of the services. What exactly is it that you expect to be removed? Snow from the sidewalk, parking spaces, roof?
