What Is a Condominium Lease Agreement?
As a landlord or property manager, whenever a new tenant is moving into a condominium that you rent or manage, you will want to have them sign a Condominium Lease Agreement before their official move-in date. A condominium lease will outline the rules the tenants are expected to follow and information related to rental payments.

How to Write a Condominium Lease Agreement?
To create your own Condominium Lease Agreement, you will want to include the following information:
- The name of the leasing agency (or landlord) and names of all tenants who will be residing at the property. Include the full address and unit number of the property and the date the agreement goes into effect.
- Length of time the lease will be in effect and if the tenant(s) will have the option to opt for a month to month lease after a certain amount of time (such as after a one year lease has concluded).
- Monthly rental costs for the unit, including what name to use for the payment (if paying by check or digital payment), when the amount is due, and when late fees will be applied if rent is not received in a timely manner (such as five days after the first of every month).
- The security deposit (and if applicable, a pet deposit) that will be required from a tenant. You will want to have a separate sentence to list the security deposit, pet deposit, and last month's rent so each item is clearly listed. When a tenant will receive their security deposit back after the lease is terminated and that you reserve the right to deduct any damages to the unit.
- If the unit will have a garage or parking space and the designated space number for the tenant(s).
- Any services or utilities you as the landlord have agreed to provide to the unit.
- Acceptable alterations to the premises.
- A release of liability of the landlord should the tenant(s) experience any loss or damage to their personal property while residing in the unit.
- Regulations involving subletting of the property and notice to the landlord.
