An Oregon Transfer on Death Deed is a handwritten or typed document that contains the terms and conditions of the property transfer that will occur once the original owner passes away. In accordance with the provisions of this Beneficiary Deed, the grantor retains the rights to own and use the property yet when they die, the grantee will be automatically considered the owner of the possessions listed in the deed. Note that this document must be drafted and finalized following the regulations of the Oregon Statutes (Chapter 93): convey the title in the presence of a notary public and submit a copy of the deed with the clerk of a local county to update the public records.
