A Georgia Quitclaim Deed is a document according to which a grantor conveys their real estate to a grantee. If you are a grantor - the party that is transferring their real estate - then you are supposed to prepare your deed of conveyance in compliance with the Official Code of Georgia. Therefore, it shall be executed in writing, attested by a witness, and delivered to the grantee (§44-5-30). In addition to this, a quitclaim deed shall be acknowledged by an authorized officer, such as a judge of a court of record, a magistrate, notary public, or another officer listed in Section §44-2-15.
