Gift Deed Form - Kentucky

A Kentucky Gift Deed is used when a party decides to donate or gift property to another person or party and payment is not expected in return for the gift. To avoid having the deed later contested in court, is important to make sure all language in the document is clear. When completing the gift deed, a full description of the property will be required, along with the chain of title and any restrictions connected to the property. The person donating the gift will need to have a notary present at the time of signing the transfer documentation. The gift deed and additional materials will need to be submitted to the county clerk and recorder's office in the county where the property is located.
