Gift Deed Form - Minnesota

A Minnesota Gift Deed is used when a person is transferring or gifting property or real estate to another individual or party and no payment is expected in exchange for the property in return. The gift deed will need to have clear and exact language since any opaque language can result in the deed being contested through the courts. Documentation of the gift deed will require a full and legal description of the property, including the chain of title and any restrictions to the property. The Affidavit Regarding Seller by Individuals and the Affidavit Regarding Purchaser by Individual(s) will need to be signed and notarized. All documents and materials will need to be submitted to the County Recorder's office in the county where the property is located.
