A North Carolina Gift Deed is utilized when donating or gifting property or real estate from one person to another individual or party and where no payment is expected as part of the transaction. To begin writing the deed, all language and agreements in the deed need to be clear, since any unclear language could later be contested in court. The gift deed will need to include a clear chain of title, any outstanding restrictions to the property, and any additional details related to the property. All documentation and additional materials will then be submitted to the recorder's office in the county where the property is located.
