Gift Deed Form - Rhode Island

A Rhode Island Gift Deed is used when a person is donating or gifting property or real estate to another individual or party, and does not expect to receive payment for the property in return. The gift deed will need to have clear and exact language since any opaque language can result in the deed being contested through the courts. To complete a gift deed, a full legal description of the property must be made, in addition to a record of the chain of title and any outstanding restrictions related to the property. To submit a gift deed, provide all additional documentation, with signatures from both parties, and send them to the local County Clerk's office where the property is located.
