Gift Deed Form - South Dakota

A South Dakota Gift Deed is used when a person or party decides to donate or gift property to another person or party and the donor does not expect payment in return for the gift. To avoid having the deed later contested in court, is important to make sure all language in the document is clear. When completing the gift deed, a full description of the property will be required, including any outstanding restrictions related to the property. The gift deed, any additional materials, and a Certificate of Real Estate Value (SDCL 7-9-7(4)) will need to be submitted to the local County Recorder's Office in the county where the property is located.
