Prepare a South Carolina Deed of Trust if you would like to ensure the loan you gave to a borrower to buy real property will be returned to you on the terms designated in the deed. The South Carolina Code of Law contains Chapter 3, Mortgage and Deeds of Trust Generally, of Title 29 (Mortgage and Other Liens) where deeds of trust are described, as well as documents that can be used with them. For example, in Section 29-3-330 you can find a standard form for Deed of Trust satisfaction which is supposed to be used when the trustor has fulfilled their obligations to return the loan and is being released from the deed.
