Prepare a Missouri Deed of Trust if you would like to ensure the loan you gave to a borrower to buy real property will be returned to you on the terms designated in the deed. The Missouri Revised Statutes defines the purpose of this deed as to secure the payment or satisfaction of any debt or other obligation, therefore, it can be used as an alternative to a mortgage (443.005). Just like with other security instruments, your deed of trust may be duly acknowledged and recorded in the office of the recorder of the deeds as told by the statutes (443.035).
