If you would like to purchase real property with a loan, and secure the position of all of the involved parties you can use a Hawaii Deed of Trust . With this deed, a borrower (also known as a trustor) will transfer the title of ownership of the real property to an independent trustee, who will hold the title until the debt is repaid to the lender (also known as a beneficiary). A deed of trust should not be confused with a trustee deed that is used in Hawaii to administer a trust created by joint owners, since the first one is an alternative to a mortgage, while the second one is used to transfer real property out of a trust.
