A Washington Grant Deed is an instrument of conveyance to transfer property from one person or entity to another person or entity. Even though this type of deed is not specified in the Revised Code of Washington, it still is supposed to comply with the requirements stated by the Code. Therefore, a grant deed shall be executed in writing, signed by the grantor, and duly acknowledged (64.04.020). A grant deed executed in Washington state shall be acknowledged before a justice of the supreme court, a judge of the court of appeals, a notary public, or before another individual appointed to take acknowledgments (64.08.010).
