A Virginia Grant Deed is a document that can be used to transfer the possession of the real property. In compliance with the Code of Virginia, a grant deed shall include the name of the grantor, the name of the grantee, the amount of the consideration paid, the address of the property in question, and other details which can be found in section 55.1-300 of the code. The code also implies that a grant deed conveying land shall be construed to include all the estate, right, title, and interest (both at law and in equity) of the grantor in such land (55.1-301) unless otherwise expressed in the deed.
