A New Jersey Grant Deed is a legal document that can be used to convey real property from one person or entity to another. The New Jersey Statutes contain a short form deed that New Jersey residents can use. It shall include the name of the grantor, the name of the grantee, the amount of the consideration paid, the description of the property that is being transferred, and other provisions (46:4-1). A grant deed that is executed within the state shall be acknowledged before an attorney-at-law, a notary public, a county clerk or deputy county clerk, or another authorized officer listed in section 46:14-6.1 of the New Jersey Statutes.
