A Nevada Grant Deed is a legal document that is used in this state to transfer ownership of real property, which must be signed by a grantor or by their lawful agent or attorney (111.105). According to the Nevada Statutes, a grant deed executed within the state shall be acknowledged before a judge (or a clerk of a court having a seal), a notary public, or a justice of the peace (111.265). Those grant deeds that are acknowledged in Nevada shall have a certificate of acknowledgment or proof of execution which will entitle them to be recorded in the office of the recorder (111.312).
