Grant Deed Form - Louisiana

A Louisiana Grant Deed is an instrument of conveyance to transfer property from one person or entity to another person or entity. The Louisiana Civil Code does not include any statutory forms for deeds, nevertheless, it properly describes in which condition the property must be to be transferred. It refers to the conveyance of the property as to the act of sale, which is the primary purpose of a grant deed. When selling property, the seller must guarantee that the property has no hidden defects and is suitable for its intended use (2475). The delivery of the real estate (that is subject to the sale) takes place upon the execution of the grant deed that transfers the ownership (2477).
