An Arkansas Grant Deed can be used to document the transfer of ownership of real property from one individual or entity to another. A properly executed grant deed provides the grantee with a guarantee that the real property is free from encumbrances unless otherwise stated in the deed (18-12-102). Just like the other state's laws, the Code of Arkansas requires the grant deed to be duly acknowledged to be legitimate (18-12-201). The court or officer that acknowledges the grant deed in Arkansas shall issue a certificate of proof or acknowledgment (18-12-205).
