A properly completed Virginia Watercraft Bill of Sale form should contain the following information: the full names, addressed, ID numbers of both parties of the transfer and full description of the vessel, price, date, and signatures. Additionally, you will need to file Form BRT-010 - a form used to register and title a new or used boat - with a detailed description of the watercraft, including the make, length, and model year, type of vessel, hull material, hull number, horsepower, and the serial number of the motor.
