How to Transfer a Gun in Indiana?

However, Indiana prohibits the seller to transfer a firearm to a person under 18. For a Bill of Sale to protect the legal interests of both the seller and the buyer, it should contain all important details pertinent to the deal. Make sure the document you create contains the following information:

  1. Identification and contact information of the seller and the buyer. Provide full names, physical addresses, phone numbers, and driver's license numbers. If there are more than one seller or buyer, include them all on the Bill of Sale;
  2. Detailed description of the firearm: make, model, caliber, serial number, and other details. If the gun you sell has any defects, disclose them to the buyer and list them on the Bill of Sale. If you sell a gun with accessories, list and describe them as well;
