- Prepare two copies of the Illinois Vehicle Bill of Sale. Make sure both copies contain the sales price and the date of purchase. Provide one to the buyer and keep the other for your records;
- Make sure you have removed all registration and insurance cards from the sold vehicle before delivering it to the buyer.
