The Arizona Watercraft Bill of Sale is a legal proof that the boat was sold and purchased. It may serve as a receipt for the payment made by the buyer and is a legally binding agreement that protects both the seller and the buyer from potentially fraudulent claims. The buyer must submit the completed and signed document to the nearest office of the Arizona Game and Fish Department along with the completed registration application, payment of the registration fee, and either the manufacturer's statement of origin (if the buyer registers a new boat) or the current registration containing the signature of the previous owner.
The boat owners who want to sell their watercraft in Arizona must prepare the Arizona Boat Bill of Sale. The completion of this form is required by the Arizona state laws. It must contain all the basic information necessary for the registration of the boat. At a minimum, it must include:

The document is considered valid after the seller signs it. It does not require any additional certification by a notary public. All the watercraft owners who sell their boats in Arizona must inform the Arizona Game and Fish Department about the sale within 15 days.
