What Is the ATF Form 3310.4?
ATF Form 3310.4, Report of Multiple Sale or Other Disposition of Pistols and Revolvers - also known as the ATF E-Form 3310.4 - is a form that has to be filled out by a firearms dealer if they sold two or more firearms to one person within 5 consecutive business days.
The most recent version of the form was issued by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) on April 1, 2019 . A fillable ATF Form 3310.4 is available for download below.
This form must be prepared in three copies and submitted no later than at the end of the business day when the multiple sales took place. The first copy is submitted to the ATF via email to: multiplehandgunsalesforms@atf.gov, faxed to 1-877-283-0288, or mailed to the following address: Department of Justice Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, National Tracing Center, 244 Needy Road Martinsburg, WV 25405.
The second copy is forwarded to the Chief Local Law Enforcement Official (CLEO). A local chief of police, sheriff of the county, head of the State police, or State or local district attorney or prosecutor can be considered a CLEO. The third copy is retained by the dealer.
ATF Form 3310.4 Instructions
Step-by-step instructions for filling out the ATF Form 3310.4 can be found below:
- Item 1, Date of Report. Enter the date when this form is filled out;
- Item 2a, Federal Firearms Licensee. Enter the number of your FFL;
- Item 2b, Trade/Corporate Name, and Address. Enter your trade name and address;
- Item 2c, Are any of the firearm(s) connected to another sale. Check the applicable box;
- Item 2d. If the firearms were sold at a gun show or any qualifying event, provide the name of the event and the address where the event took place;
- Item 3. Provide a description of sold items. Enter the type, serial number, name of manufacturer, model, the name of the importer, caliber and transfer date for each item;
- Item 4, Transferee's Name. Enter the full name of the buyer;
- Item 5 , Item 6 and Item 7 are self-explanatory;
- Item 8, Identification Number. Enter the buyer's identification number;
- Item 9, Type of Identification. Enter the type of the provided identification;
- Item 10, ID State. Enter the state that issued the ID;
- Item 11, Date of Birth. Enter the buyer's date of birth;
- Item 12, Place of Birth. Enter the city, state, and country where the buyer was born;
- Item 13. If the buyer is the authorized representative of a business entity, enter the name of this entity;
- Item 14a. Enter the name and the address of the state or local authorities agency that will receive a copy of the ATF Form 3310.4;
- Item 14b. Enter the date you forwarded a copy to that agency;
- Item 15. Enter additional information about the transfer of firearms;
- Item 16, Name of Employee. Enter your name and date the form.
