Is a Bill of Sale Required in Michigan?

These documents are considered legal proof of the deal accepted by all state agencies. They can be applied to substantiate the fact of sale and are often used during the registration of the purchased item. The documents are equally important to both parties of the transfer. Buyers keep them as written evidence of ownership, whereas the sellers use them as the release of responsibility for the described item.
