How to Fill Out Utah Vehicle Bill of Sale?

Generally, the seller is offered to complete the form. You should do it as follows:

1. When filling out Form TC-843, you need to select the type of item for sale: car, motorcycle, light truck, van, heavy truck (over 12,000 lbs), off-highway vehicle, trailer, snowmobile, or boat.
2. Enter the seller's and the buyer's name, the selling price in words and in numbers, and the date of the sale in the appropriate sections of the form.
3. You must also record the description of the vehicle or vessel: year, make, model, Vehicle Identification Number, and license number.
4. The seller confirms by signing that the vehicle is sold and transferred to the buyer "as is," free and clear of any lawful claims, debts, and demand.
5. The form should be filled out and submitted to the local Division of Motor Vehicles customer service office.
6. The seller must provide a signed copy of the completed Form TC-843 to the purchaser.

Does a Vehicle Bill of Sale Have to Be Notarized in Utah?

The state of Utah does not require a notary public's certification for vehicle sales but it is generally a good idea to have a notary or witness to a sale in order to confirm the transaction has taken place.
