If you are a disabled veteran, active, former, or retired military, active or retired law enforcement, indicate the application status and attach proper documentation listed in the instructions included in the application.
Select the application type. State your full name, residence and mailing addresses, telephone numbers, and e-mail addresses.
Enter your social security number, driver's license number or ID card number, and alien number.
Record your date and place of birth, race, sex, height, weight, eye color, hair color.
Since you are required to complete a firearm training course within three years of filing the application, indicate the date of training, your instructor certification number, and student number. It is required to obtain an instructor's signature to file an application.

To obtain a CWP renewal, you need to use the same application. Choose the application type at the top of the page and indicate your CWP number. You need to mail an SC CWP renewal application 90-120 days before your permit expires. Attach a photocopy of your state driver's license or ID card. If you are a non-resident, you will also need to provide a property tax form. Resident aliens need to send copies of their alien cards.
You may renew your CWP online if there have been no changes to the information contained on your permit, the application is made within 89 days of the permit's expiration date or the application is not more than 60 days past the expiry date. In all other instances, you have to mail the form to the CWP Application, SLED Regulatory, PO Box 21398, Columbia, SC 29221 .
Once you sent the application, the processing time will vary depending on the application type and current demand. The SLED has ninety days to issue a permit.
