The United States Forces Japan (USFJ) is a military command responsible for the operational readiness and defense of Japan. USFJ is primarily focused on maintaining peace, stability, and security in the region, as well as supporting the U.S.-Japan defense partnership. The mission of USFJ includes deterring aggression, promoting regional security, providing disaster response and humanitarian assistance, and strengthening bilateral relationships between the United States and Japan.
