An A2 Envelope is a rectangular paper container, usually used for personal and professional letters and notes. If you are arranging an event and need to send an array of invitations to potential guests, trying to create an easy-to-use storage system for your photos and postcards, or regularly communicating with your colleagues via written notes whose contents are meant to be private for the rest of the office, this type of envelope is right for you. Besides, envelopes of A2 format are perfect for people that love handicrafts - they are great for scrapbooking and storing small objects later used for embroidery and similar craft - and plant enthusiasts that get to organize seeds to avoid confusion.

Traditional A2 Envelope dimensions are 4.375 x 5.75 inches which makes this format perfect for greeting cards, love letters, and invitations to various events. This kind of item helps people that have to send a lot of correspondence save both materials and money - it is easy to work with, store in bulk, and even make from scratch if you have a lot of extra paper at your disposal and want to mail numerous letters to different addresses or create notes you plan to deliver in person.
Follow these steps to make your own A2 Envelope:
Get the supplies necessary to make an envelope - these are the objects found in any regular household: paper, ruler, scissors, and adhesives. Opt for a lighter paper if you can - it will be hard to fold and especially crease cardstock. It is up to you to decide whether the envelope requires any decorative elements on the outside and on the inside; the regular white paper would work perfectly for business correspondence while any combination of colors is welcome if you are putting a greeting card inside the envelope. Consider adding a pattern to the inner side of the envelope to surprise the recipient.
Get a sheet of paper twice bigger than the desired size of the envelope to fold it into the shape of the envelope . If for any reason you are missing a ruler, you can check whether the A2 Envelope size is correct by putting inside an invite or greeting card that is supposed to fit in similar envelopes before you glue the item permanently.
Fold the paper and crease the fold . Glue the left and right sides - you can do it with duct tape or glue; in the latter case, let the envelope dry out before putting anything inside it. This way, you have three sides of the envelope closed - only the top remains. You should make a small flap - fold about half an inch of the top part in to prevent items from falling out from the envelope. Once you put the letter or small object inside the envelope, you can secure the top side too - with glue or tape.
Create an A2 Envelope template with a triangle flap - fold the right and left sides of the paper sheet to make them meet in the middle. Fold the bottom of the paper so that it touches the folds you have made already and secure the shape with adhesives - you may fold the sides you want to keep together or simply apply adhesives. The triangle flap remains unattached to the rest of the envelope until you put whatever you want inside the item and close the envelope until the recipient opens it.
