Tattoo Pain Chart: What Is It?

If you are thinking of getting a tattoo, the next thing you may want to do after picking your design is taking a look at a Tattoo Pain Chart . The purpose of this chart is to show all of the body parts and the level of pain that you might expect to feel if you decided to get a tattoo in that region of your body. Some body parts are a lot more painful than others, particularly in places close to the bone.

Alternate Name:

  • Tattoo Pain Level Chart.

The level of sensation that an individual encounters when having a tattoo will vary depending on a number of variables, mainly the gender of the individual, their pain threshold (which is related to psychological experiences), and perhaps most significantly, the part of the body that is being inked. Parts of the body that have more fat and/or muscle such as arms, thighs, and shoulders tend to be a lot less painful than areas that are thinner, with little or no fat, and close to the bone such as the fingers, knees, spine, and ribs.

Although it's normal to be concerned with pains before obtaining a tattoo, there will be things that an individual can perform which will get them ready and possibly even make it an enjoyable experience.

Using a cream that can numb pain can be the best option if an individual is concerned about soreness. Before going to get a tattoo, keep in mind that some medicines and alcohol can result in the blood becoming thinner which in turn, results in excessive bleeding. You should also choose comfortable clothing, make sure to have a meal prior to the appointment, and stay hydrated.
