  • Programming Cheat Sheets. One of the most promising career paths you can take now is related to the world of computer science - aspiring coders and software engineers who are learning new programming languages should use every opportunity to go over the materials they study and write the commands and functions on a separate sheet to teach themselves to apply them automatically.

How to Make a Cheat Sheet?

Here are some tips you may use when creating Cheatsheets:

  1. Look through your textbooks, materials, and notes and figure out what information should be added to the Cheat Sheet . Do not rush to make it after you read one chapter of the book or attend one lecture - learn more about the subject, find out the demands of your professor or examination board, and arrange all the data in your head and then in writing.

  2. Consider making a digital version of the Cheat Sheet first . This way, you will be able to add to it during revision without errors and corrections that ruin the overall look of the small guide you are working on. Print out the Cheat Sheet at the last moment if you are planning to use it during the examination - alternatively, a printed-out version you hang on the wall or carry with you everywhere will be helpful if you are a visual learner who benefits from glancing at the material even while resting.

  3. If your Cheat Sheet is small, it may seem excessive to waste space on headlines, paragraphs, and remarks . However, try to use different colors and fonts to highlight different items, definitions, and formulas, especially if you only have one sheet of paper to fit everything you have studied for months. It would be a good idea to use symbols and abbreviations to save space - as long as you feel comfortable with them personally or they are universally recognized by every student.

  4. Group the details to make the Cheat Sheet somewhat logical - inserting the details you remembered after a certain section is already summarized may confuse you, particularly if you are going to use this guide during a stressful exam. Examine the possibility of making several Cheatsheets for different parts of the course - you may do so instead of taking regular notes.
